Find Missing Kids Faster with FBI iPhone App

A child goes missing in the U.S. every 40 seconds, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Getting pictures and pertinent information to police promptly is pivotal for finding kids faster which is why Child ID is a must-have for every parent.

As the very first iPhone app from the FBI, Child ID stores photos and identifiers. The FBI doesn't access any of the information unless the parents send it to authorities, which is easy to do within the app. Users can quickly send an email to local authorities, call 911, or call the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The app also includes tips on keeping children safe as well as specific guidance on what to do in those first few crucial hours after a child goes missing.

While Child ID is free, it's only available for iPhones. Versions for other smartphones are in the works.
