Man's iPhone Helps Him Survive Haiti Quake

In other heartwarming iPhone news, a man trapped in Haiti’s earthquake rubble used his iPhone to stay alive until rescuers were able to dig him out.

American filmmaker Dan Woolley found himself trapped in Port au Prince’s Hotel Montana after the 7.0 earthquake destroyed the city. He lost his glasses and his leg was badly injured, but Woolley was able find a safe place to await rescue thanks to the camera’s light. The iPhone’s Pocket First Aid and CPR app also instructed him on how to treat his damaged leg. Woolley followed the app’s instructions and was rescued  65 hours after the quake. He has since returned to the United States where his was reunited with his wife and two young sons.

Now that's some great PR! The iPhone folks have gotta love that!
