Steve Jobs Blasts Google, Adobe

According to a report by Wired, Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, had a few choice words for Google and Adobe last week.

At a town-style meeting at Apple headquarters, Jobs blasted Google saying: "Make no mistake they want to kill the iPhone. We won't let them.”

He also ridiculed Google’s “don’t be evil” mantra, calling it “bullshit” or “crap.” Sources disagree on his choice of words, but either way the sentiment is the same. Jobs is pissed at Google.

So, why the hostility? Many believe Job’s statements are in response to Google’s January launch of the Nexus One phone. After all, Jobs said, Apple “didn’t enter the search business.” Google “entered the phone business.”

Jobs also railed against Adobe: "They have all this potential to do interesting things but they just refuse to do it. They don't do anything with the approaches Apple is taking, like Carbon. Apple does not support Flash because it is so buggy. Whenever a Mac crashes more often than not it's because of Flash. No one will be using Flash."

Many people have criticized Apple’s latest and much-hyped creation, the iPad, because it does not support Flash and this criticism is what reportedly drew Job’s ire.

It seems a little criticism and a little competition is all it takes to get on Steve Job’s bad side.
