Watch the Royal Wedding Live on YouTube

The royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton is a little over a week away and chances are good you didn't receive an invite to the big event. Not to worry. The royal household officially invites you to share in the joyous celebration by watching the April 29 wedding live on the Household's official YouTube channel.

According to the video invite (below), viewers can watch every moment of the wedding as it happens, read live commentary about the event, watch the procession, and listen to video messages people around the world have uploaded for the happy couple. Those who just can’t wait until April 29, can view a few wedding themed videos already uploaded to the Royal Household’s official YouTube channel. Videos currently up for viewing include the making of the royal wedding cake and the symbolism of the candy flowers that will adorn it.

Naturally YouTube and Google (YouTube’s parent company) are thrilled about the opportunity to attract so many viewers.

Rachel Ball, spokeswoman for Google wrote that the royal wedding will be “the first of the Internet age, where for the first time in thousands of years of royal history, the moment will be captured online and preserved forever.”

Planning on tuning in? Be prepared to wake up super early. The wedding begins at 10 a.m. London time which is 5 a.m. for folks on the East Coast of the United States. If you can't get out of bed that early, a recording of the wedding willl be available for later viewing.
