Keepsy Instant Album for Instagram

Instagram is a popular app available on the iPhone that allows users to take Polaroid-esque photos with the click of a button. Til now, there was no real way to compile all of those instant photos into a cohesive album. Now, photo album and scrapbook maker Keepsy has released Instant Album, a photo book for Instagram photos.

The product is available starting today and aims to help users create physical keepsakes from their digital photos.

Instant Album pre-selects 30 to 35 of the user’s best Instagram photos, as determined by “likes,” and auto-generates an album with photos grouped by time.

Those who prefer more detail in their photo albums can edit the album’s layout, drag-and-drop photos onto different pages, change backgrounds, add artwork and text, and more. The final result is an 11-by-8.5-inch hardcover album that retails for $29.95 for 30 pages – each additional page will cost $0.99.

Co-founder Blake Williams says, “We want to be the easiest photo album builder in the world. People don’t like to build photo albums because photo albums are a pain in the a** to make.”

Keepsy and Instant Album are in the midst of raising another round of financing, and the company has plans to develop mobile applications that simplify and enhance the photo album creation process.
