Thanks to a new deal between Virgin Produced and tech company ACTV8.ME, viewers will be able to interact with more of their favorite television programs. The companies today announced they are joining forces to “ACTV8” current hit shows, as well as create new interactive TV programming.

“Our exciting new relationship with ACTV8.ME marks a pioneering step into the unscripted television business for Virgin Produced,” Virgin Produced Co-Founder and CEO Jason Felts said in a statement. “We share a similar philosophy with the ACTV8 team and together we are poised to lead the path in forming a REAL interactive relationship with our TV audiences.”

ACTV8’s smart phone apps empower people to “interact, share, and participate with their favorite media.” Users can play polls, quizzes, or trivia games; socialize on Facebook and Twitter; view episode guides, actor bios, and behind-the-scenes moments, and receive special discounts and deals.

ACTV8 has also struck deals with Mark Burnett Productions, Fox Broadcasting, The Oxygen Network, among others. The company recently launched interactive apps for NBC's Celebrity Apprentice and Fox's New Girl.

“We are excited to be working with the talented creative team at Virgin Produced,” said ACTV8.ME CEO Brian Shuster. “Their creative vision coupled with the support of their various sister companies’ across the transportation, mobile and retail sectors offer a unique platform to develop and launch high-quality interactive content to the domestic and international marketplace.”
